Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha criticized Prime Minister Edi Rama during a meeting of the DP parliamentary group, describing him as an untrustworthy and characterless man.

Berisha said that the crisis in Albania is deepening every day and warned that the prime minister’s positions pose a risk to the country and the region.

According to him, Rama has become the protector of Vlora Hyseni, Ergys Agasi, Ron Yeffet, Linda Karçanaj, Ermal Beqiri and Belinda Balluku.

“The godfather has turned into an unparalleled lawyer for Vlora Hyseni, Ergys Agasi, Ron Yeffet, Linda Karçanaj, Ermal Beqiri and Belinda Balluku. He is untrustworthy and characterless. After washing his hands of them, he is now defending their interests,” Berisha said.

The opposition leader claimed that every action taken by Ermal Beqiri, Linda Karçanaj and Vlora Hyseni had been ordered by Edi Rama.

He also alleged that this involved the division and management of money connected to the prime minister.

“No one should have the slightest doubt that every action and every act by Ermal Beqiri, Linda Karçanaj and Vlora Hyseni is ordered by Edi Rama. They are dividing money with Edi Rama. This is the management of Edi Rama’s money—that is the truth,” he said.

Berisha added that voices on these issues are growing louder and that Rama, according to him, is trying to justify actions he described as among the gravest in the history of the Albanian state.

He also leveled accusations against the former head of the State Intelligence Service, Vlora Hyseni, claiming that she had passed important state secrets to drug cartels and their intermediary. These are claims made by the opposition leader and do not constitute judicial findings.

“The head of the Intelligence Service who handed the state’s most important secrets to the drug cartels and their intermediary—bearing in mind that these cartels have been designated terrorist organizations by the President of the United States—raises this issue to the level of the greatest acts of treason. Meanwhile, Edi Rama tells Albanians that the allies are taking Vlora…,” Berisha declared.

“Padrinoja është kthyer në një avokat të pashembullt të Vlora Hysenit, Ergys Agasit, Ron Yeffet, Linda Karçanajt, Ermal Beqirit dhe Belinda Ballukut. Është i pabesë dhe pa karakter. Pasi lau duart me ta, tani mbron interesat e tyre”, u shpreh Berisha.

Kreu i opozitës pretendoi se çdo veprim i Ermal Beqirit, Linda Karçanajt dhe Vlora Hysenit, është urdhëruar nga Edi Rama.

Ai akuzoi gjithashtu se bëhet fjalë për ndarje dhe menaxhim parash që lidhen me kryeministrin.

“Askush nuk duhet të ketë dyshimin më të vogël se çdo veprim dhe çdo akt i Ermal Beqirit, Linda Karçanajt dhe Vlora Hysenit është urdhri i Edi Ramës. Janë ndarje parash me Edi Ramën. Është menaxhimi i parave të Edi Ramës, kjo është e vërteta”, tha ai.

Berisha shtoi se zërat për këto çështje po shtohen dhe se Rama, sipas tij, po përpiqet të justifikojë veprime që i konsideroi ndër më të rëndat në historinë e shtetit shqiptar.

Ai ngriti akuza edhe ndaj ish-drejtueses së Shërbimit Informativ Shtetëror, Vlora Hyseni, duke pretenduar se ajo u ka përcjellë sekrete të rëndësishme shtetërore karteleve të drogës dhe ndërmjetësit të tyre. Këto janë pretendime të kreut të opozitës dhe nuk përbëjnë konstatime gjyqësore.

“Shefja e Shërbimit Inteligjent që ka dorëzuar sekretet më të rëndësishme të shtetit te kartelet e drogës dhe ndërmjetësi i tyre, duke pasur parasysh se këto kartele janë shpallur organizata terroriste nga Presidenti i SHBA-së, e çon këtë çështje në nivelin e tradhtive më të mëdha. Ndërsa Edi Rama u thotë shqiptarëve se aleatët e çojnë Vlorën…”, deklaroi Berisha.

Referring to Ergys Agasi, Ermal Beqiri and Vlora Hyseni, who are under investigation by SPAK, Berisha said that Rama had proved disloyal by leaving them to face justice.

Turning to the investigation into Balluku, Berisha said there were numerous messages implicating the head of government in corrupt affairs.

“Now what has happened is that Ergys Agasi, Ermal Beqiri and Vlora Hyseni are realizing that Rama has sold them out. He is disloyal; he has no word of honor. So he sold them out, and they have started talking. They realized that the man who had given them all the guarantees had handed them over to the police. He did this to discredit the hundreds of messages he has with Ron Yeffet, with Ermal Biqirn and with Vlora Hyseni, and to free himself from these matters, from Lubia. As Lubia told him, out of 6,000 messages, 4,000 are yours, she told him. It is all about saving Rama from evidence that he can never discredit,” Berisha said.

Berisha also commented on the latest amendments proposed by Rama to the Criminal Procedure Code, which he said were intended to save the prime minister from evidence implicating him.

The opposition leader spoke of a silent pact between the justice institutions, the prime minister and the Bar Chamber.

“Can every Albanian citizen who is invited to provide clarification or give testimony now be fined and be required to pay for a lawyer as well? Is this an agreement between the leadership, the head of the Medusa and the Bar Chamber? I do not know, but there are many suspicions. We are dealing with a trilateral agreement between the padrino, SPAK and the Bar Chamber. They are forcefully condemning a law that ultimately destroys the investigation process and takes it outside the standards of international principles of investigation. I strongly condemn the silence of this institution,” the DP leader said.

Ndërsa i ndalur tek hetimet për Ballukun, Berisha tha se janë mesazhe të shumta që implikojnë kreun e qeverisë në afera korruptive.

“Tani çfarë ka ndodhur, Ergys Agasi, Ermal Beqiri, Vlora Hyseni po e kuptojnë që i ka shitur Rama. I pabesi, besë nuk ka. Pra ky i ka shitur dhe ata kanë filluar të flasin. Ata e kuptuan se njeriu që i kishte dhënë të gjitha garancitë i lëshoi në duart e policisë, ky për të zhvlerësuar qindra mesazhe që ka ky me Ron Yeffet, me Ermal Biqirn, Vlora Hysenin, për të çliruar veten nga këto, nga Lubia. Si i tha Lubia nga 6000 mije mesazhe, 4 mijë janë të tuajt i tha. Është e tëra për të shpëtuar Ramën nga provat që nuk mund ti zhvlerësojë kurrë”, tha Berisha.

Berisha komentoi edhe ndryshimet e fundit të propozuara nga Rama mbi Kodin e Procedurës Penale, që sipas tij bëhen për të shpëtuar kryeministrin nga provat ku ai implikohet.

Kreu i opozitës foli për një pakt të heshtur mes institucioneve të drejtësisë, kryeministrit dhe Dhomës së Avokatisë.

“A mundet tani të gjobitet çdo qytetar shqiptar që do ftohet për të bërë një sqarim, për një dëshmi duhet të paguajë edhe avokatin me vete. A është kjo një marrëveshje mes kupolës, kreut të meduzës dhe dhomës së avokatisë? Këtë nuk e di, por ka shumë dyshime. Kemi të bëjmë me një marrëveshje trelateralë, padrino, skap dhe dhomë avokatie. Duke dënuar më forcën më të madhe ligjin që shkatërron përfundimisht procesin e hetimit, e nxjerr atë jashtë standardeve të parimeve ndërkombëtare të hetimi. Dënoj me forcën më të madhe, heshtjen e këtij institucioni”, tha kreu i PD.

Journalist Almer Toska, appearing on News24’s “Minuta e Parë,” commented on the latest scandals involving former SHISH director Vlora Hyseni and businessman Ergys Agasi.

Almer Toska: It was Edi Rama who felt proud of her and defended her. They met every week at one of the residences outside Tirana. She reported on the state of crime. Belinda Balluku managed the rest. They were two rival groups, with Rama’s approval, so they would clash with each other and not come after him. Ergys Agasi and Belinda Balluku had a very close relationship in 2022–2023, as they did with Vlora Hyseni, but Rama did not want that, and they split. The fight was over money and power, not over taking Edi Rama’s seat.

Vlora Hyseni joined Ergys Agasi after realizing that he was the prime minister. She served Agasi only by allowing cocaine trafficking in Albania, which Gysi carried out constantly through the Port of Durrës. One of the Durrës groups was the Troplini family. SPAK also targeted the Troplini family. There is also talk of murders. Ergys Agasi had been promoted by this family to guarantee their power. The latest detail in this case is that one of Agasi’s phones, believed to have contained communications with Edi Rama, is thought to have been destroyed by the police and replaced. That phone, with the conversations between Agasi and Rama, cannot be found. In my opinion, Agasi met with Rama three days before he was arrested. Rama wanted to abandon Agasi so that it would be the other side’s turn to be targeted. Belinda Balluku’s turn is coming, because we are talking about integration.

Almer Toska: Ka qenë Edi Rama që ndjehej krenar dhe e mbronte. Takoheshin në një nga rezidencat jashtë Tiranës çdo javë. Raportonte për gjendjen e krimit. Pjesën tjetër e menaxhonte Belinda Ballukun. Dy grupe kundërshtare edhe me miratimin e Ramës. Që të përplaseshin dhe të mos shkonin te ai. Ergys Agasi dhe Belinda Ballukut nga viti 2022-2023 kanë patur një marrëdhënie kaq të ngushtë si me Vlora Hyseni por Rama nuk ka dashur dhe u ndanë. Lufta ka qenë për para dhe pushtet jo për ti marrë karrigen Edi Ramës.

Vlora Hyseni iu bashkua Ergys Agasi pasi kuptoi se ai ishte kryeministër. I shërbente Agasit vetëm në lejimin e trafikut të kokainës në Shqipëri. Që Gysi e bënte nga Porti i Durrësit vazhdimisht. Një nga grupet e Durrësit. Bëhet fjalë për familjen Troplini. U godit dhe familja Troplini nga SPAK. Fliten dhe për vrasje. Ergys Agasi ishte promovuar nga kjo familje për të garantuar atyre pushtetin. Detaji më i ri për këtë çështje. Një nga telefonat e Agasit mendohet se kishte komunikim me Edi Ramën mendohet se është asgjësuar nga policia, është zëvendësuar. Ky telefon me bisedat mes Agasit dhe Ramës nuk gjendet. Për mendimin Agasi, ka patur një takim me Ramën 3 ditë para se të arrestohej. Rama ka dashur ta lëshojë Agasin që ti vijë radha krahut tjetër të goditet. Po vjen radha e Belinda Ballukut se po flasim për integrim.

Një nga drejtori i aviacionit civil para prokurorëve ka treguar shumë. Është zbërthyer. Ka folur çfarë ka ditur. Pse nuk kemi një aksion? Pse SPAK po pret ende që ta godasë ende Belinda Ballukun? Ose kemi një SPAK të kontrolluar. Që pret të bëhet ndryshimi i reformës territoriale më datën 8. SPAK po tregohet shumë i rezervuar me të dhënat gazetarëve lidhur me këtë dosje. Të fortë që ndanin shtratin me Belinda Ballukun. SPAK pret akoma. Është nga dosjet më të rënda, 1 mld euro abuzime. O duhet të asgjësohet SPAK ose Belinda. Ne themi integrimi.

Parliamentary group leader Taulant Balla spoke to reporters after meetings with the EU’s interparliamentary committee, where he was also asked about the wiretaps involving Ergys Agasi and Vlora Hyseni, the former director of SHISH.

Balla said that he does not comment on any justice case, while regarding his mention in the wiretaps, he added that he does not speak about people who have problems with the justice system, such as Ergys Agasi.

Balla: I am confident that SPAK will also investigate this dimension of the leaks of information that constitute the process of a fair and uninfluenced trial. As far as I know, there is a court decision declaring all those documents secret. The support for SPAK from the Socialist Party parliamentary group is unlimited.

In 13 years in power, after hundreds of appointments, there may be only a handful who have betrayed the trust. Let them face justice. First, our standard is the same as that of the Bundestag. We do not get involved in the merits of the case files or what is contained in them. I am telling you that this was not part of the discussions. Sali Berisha also held a special press conference; my son told me that he does not follow it. I do not comment on Berisha or on people who have problems with the justice system. Former SHISH director Vlora Hyseni chose not to answer journalists’ questions after the end of the session at GJKKO. At the end of the session, GJKKO upheld the security measure “House arrest” requested by SPAK against Hyseni.

According to SPAK investigations, the former SHISH director is accused of helping the businessman Ergys Agasi escape. As part of the investigation, authorities have also raised suspicions about communications and the use of information related to state intelligence activities.
