The Ministry of Defense said that 25 fires were reported across the country over the past 24 hours, while 9 of them remain active. Firefighting operations are continuing in several counties, involving hundreds of personnel as well as ground and aerial resources.

A total of 41 fire engines and 395 operational personnel have been deployed on the ground. The Armed Forces have deployed 167 personnel, 3 helicopters and 2 Air Tractor aircraft from the Air Force.

In Dajt, efforts are continuing with fire service and ADZM personnel, also supported by an Air Force helicopter, while 4 fire engines and 15 personnel are operating in Priskë e Madhe. Homes are not at risk in either area.

In Drenie, Patos Municipality, after the fire flared up again, 7 fire engines, 30 fire service personnel, police and forestry personnel, and volunteers were deployed yesterday, supported by 2 Air Tractor aircraft. The operation is continuing today with an additional 30 Armed Forces personnel.

In Krujë, operations are continuing in the Abaze neighborhood and the Krastë–Halil area. In Abaze, support from 58 Armed Forces personnel and 2 helicopters is expected, while in Krastë–Halil, 58 military personnel with 6 vehicles have operated alongside ADZM personnel and local authorities. No risk to populated areas is currently being reported.

In Nëmerçkë, efforts are continuing with fire service and municipal personnel, along with 25 Armed Forces personnel, while Përmet firefighters are operating on Mount Dhëmbel, supported by 30 military personnel. Homes are not at risk in either area.

In Gurë-Lurë, Dibër Municipality, one of the most significant operations is underway, involving firefighters, municipal and forestry personnel, ADZM personnel, volunteers, 50 Armed Forces personnel, 2 helicopters and 2 Air Tractor aircraft. Because of the fire’s proximity to several homes, firefighters have been positioned nearby to protect the community.

The fire on Mount Morava, Devoll Municipality, also remains active in a protected pine forest area. Devoll and Korçë fire service personnel are working on the ground alongside the forestry service, while there is no risk to populated areas.

Operations are continuing with increased ground and aerial capacity, focusing on protecting populated areas, containing the spread of the fires and fully extinguishing the active hotspots.
