This morning, a serious incident was reported in Vlora, where a 71-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting his 61-year-old wife during a conflict at their home.

According to police, the incident occurred for trivial reasons, while S. M. is suspected of striking his wife, E. M., with an axe.

The 61-year-old woman sustained injuries as a result of the violence and was taken to hospital, where she is under medical care.

Following the incident, police services intervened and arrested the 71-year-old man.
