This Thursday, a 65-year-old man died in the Porto Palermo area of Himara after an explosive detonated while he was fishing.

According to preliminary information, the man is suspected of having been using a homemade explosive for fishing, which detonated in his hand.

The explosion caused severe injuries to the 65-year-old’s body and limbs. Despite efforts to provide assistance and transport him to hospital, he died on the way.

Police have launched an investigation to fully establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
