A 53-year-old man from Mullet was caught in the act and arrested after allegedly using a pistol to fire into the air near a bar, threatening a 23-year-old man he had previously clashed with.

The incident was reported following notification of gunshots near a bar in the village of Mullet. Officers from Police Station No. 1 went to the scene and began verifying the situation.

During the operation, codenamed “Notification,” officers arrested citizen F. Ç., 53, a resident of Mullet.

Preliminary investigations suggest that he fired into the air with a pistol he possessed without a permit, outside the bar where the 23-year-old, A. H., was present.

According to police, the act is suspected to have stemmed from a previous dispute between them over trivial motives.

During the operation, police seized the firearm and the corresponding ammunition.

The procedural materials were sent to the Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
