Rexhep Selimi has been sentenced to 13 years in prison by the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague. The verdict was announced today, September 16, as part of the judicial process against former KLA leaders.

Selimi was found responsible for the charges brought against him in this process.

During the reading of the verdict, the court specified the sentences for the crimes for which he was found responsible: “6 years in prison for illegal detention, 2 years in prison for cruel treatment, 8 years in prison for torture, 11 years in prison for unlawful killing”.
